Hypnotherapy For Eating Disorders
Hypnosis & Coaching For Eating Disorders
Holistic wellness coaching can help get to the root cause of these disordered eating patterns so that you can be free from the confines of these behaviors and beliefs.
There are many different techniques used for disordered eating. In sessions, we will talk to the conscious mind and also explore your inner landscape by entering a hypnotic state. In this state we will use different types of positive change techniques such as visualization exercises, affirmations, deep breathing, relaxation techniques, and other mindfulness practices. I will use a combination of these along with NLP, sound, breath and other coaching modalities to deepen your relationship with the mind and body.
This recovery process will give you new ways to heal where you feel stuck with food or any other contributing problems. It will give you back the sense of power in your life so that you can achieve the emotional and physical health you desire and a new relationship within your body and mind.
By taking the first step in the right direction you can break free of negative emotions, low self-esteem, and other limiting behaviors that are a big part of the relationship with food. Hypnosis is a very safe option that will help to access any underlying issues and move one towards creating permanent and lasting change. This in combination with new tools and resources can help support this empowering shift.
What Is Disordered Eating?
Disordered eating is any type of abnormal or unhealthy relationship with food. This can manifest in several ways, such as restrictive dieting, binge eating, compulsive eating, anorexia nervosa, excessive exercise, bulimia nervosa, and more.
Some common signs of disordered eating include body weight and body shape concerns, low self-esteem, restrictive dieting or fasting, watching food intake, food phobias, extreme weight gain or weight loss, nutritional deficiencies, obsession with physical appearance, and dissatisfaction with normal weight.
Disordered eating patterns can sometimes develop in response to negative feelings about one’s body or self-image and other emotional problems. They can also stem from past traumas or difficult life experiences in your childhood, images or memories that are stuck on repeat as a pattern that you are unaware of, or places in your life where you did not feel safe or loved.
These and others are often stored in the subconscious mind and continuously feed negative thoughts about yourself and your body, resulting in destructive eating patterns and other serious conditions. Holistic coaching and alternative healing processes give new way to access the unconscious mind where these patterns and beliefs are stored.
In coaching you can reimagine these issues in a way that is liberating and empowering, releasing the pain and therefore eliminating the pattern that is associated with it. Wayne Dyer once said, “The state of your life is nothing more than a reflection of the state of your mind.” Therefore when we can change our minds, we can change our life!
If you’re struggling with an eating disorder, you may feel like you’re never good enough, no matter how much weight you lose or how many calories you restrict yourself to. You may feel out of control around food, or like food is controlling you. You may feel ashamed, embarrassed, experience panic attacks, or feel helpless.
But it’s important to remember that there is hope and healing available and you can and will feel better. Holistic coaching and hypnotherapy are both extremely effective treatments for repairing and healing your mind, body, and spirit.
If you find yourself struggling with food-related issues, you are not alone. It is estimated that there are millions of people in the United States that suffer from some form of disordered eating. Coaching and alternative healing modalities gives great tools to discover new insights about where this problem might come from but more importantly how you can move through it to live a new way of life.
With hard work and commitment, it is possible to break through and find freedom and peace with food and the body on a conscious and subconscious level.
With coaching, I can help you identify triggers for your disordered eating patterns, release negative self-beliefs and unresolved emotions, reduce stress and anxiety about food, and empower you to clear up your deep-rooted unconscious thought patterns and imagery so that you can finally break free from the chains of dieting and disordered eating.
Can Wellness Coaching Help Me to Conquer My Relationship with Food & My Body?
If you have ever tried to lose weight or heal your relationship with food and your body, you know how difficult and challenging it can be. Maybe you have sought medical treatment or other treatment programs in the past and have seen little changes. There is hope!
Holistic wellness coaching can help you make the changes in your relationship with food, yourm body, and your mind.
During a session, we will work with your subconscious mind to help you make healthy changes in your life by accessing the part of you that is buried underneath and holds key answers and resources to understanding more about your presenting symptoms.
Coaching & hypnosis go right to the source of your difficulties, and allow you to heal on a deeper level by accessing resources and support to get you the results you are looking for.
With these powerful modality, such as NLP, sound, energy and breath work, and somatics, we can clear the energy surrounding your body and food and transform them from the place where it holds the most power, the subconscious mind. When we accomplish this, the symptoms you are experiencing will begin to fade away.
In hypnosis, I will guide you into a relaxed state where your conscious mind becomes more open to positive hypnotic suggestions. In this state, you are more receptive to making changes at a deeper level. You’ll have a similar sensation to that of meditation, but it will be more personalized to what is needed for your recovery and growth.
In this place we can work with your subconscious mind to also locate and alleviate any stressors that are causing you to experience your present world in a way that is not aligned with peace in your body and mind.
This may involve helping you to understand why you have been relating to food in an unhealthy way, and gain new coping mechanisms and strategies for dealing with difficult emotions in the past and present so that you can experience healthy, positive relationships with food, your body, and your mind.
Hypnotherapy is also a very effective tool to use on its own or as a supplement to any other types of therapy that you may be undertaking, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Can Hypnosis & Alternative Modalities Deliver Me Real Results?
There is a lot of skepticism around hypnosis, and other alternative healing modalities and whether or not it can help someone who wants to lose weight or conquer an eating disorder.
Studies have shown that hypnotherapy has been incredibly effective in helping people manage their emotions related to food, cope better with stress and anxiety, change negative thought patterns about body image and self-esteem, and develop healthier relationships with food, their bodies, and themselves.
Our subconscious mind works in incredible ways as it is 100 times more powerful than our conscious mind. That is why willpower alone (which comes from the conscious) often can not withstand the power that lies dormant underneath and therefore diets and other attempts to change our relationship with food and our bodies fail.
But recognizing this simple fact holds the key to success. Hypnotherapy in combination with coaching and alternative modalities can help you access and change the negative thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are stored in the subconscious mind and shift the relationship between food, the body and the mind.
If we want to have a long-lasting deep change in our lives surrounding food then we must work with the subconscious where nearly all of our food-related thoughts and emotions first began. This is possible with this type of transformational work.
So if you are struggling with disordered eating, such as emotional eating, binge eating, purging, anorexia, weight loss, or any other type of food-related problem, I encourage you to explore the possibility of going inward to discover the power of this type of work.
With the right professional guidance and support, there is no doubt that you can experience real results from this powerful mind-body tool.
