Interview with Samantha Rosenbaum

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Rosenbaum.

Hi Samantha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.

I was raised in a spiritually conscious household where it was not unusual to practice breathing when I was angry, pull an angel card for guidance, and use art as a form of therapy.

Stepping into my own spiritual practice was always on my path and called to me at my core, but I would still have to find my own way towards it. I have taken numerous detours along the way, but I now see them as stepping stones through my journey of learning to trust that I am exactly where I need to be.

The adventures of living in Maui, working in the music industry, and getting married and having two beautiful sons have all been incredible experiences that have added to my life in abundant ways.

However, I had to reach deep inside of myself to find the parts of me that called out for healing and address them before I could feel at peace. The parts that rebelled and brought me to my knees taught me so much.

I would first need to get to know and rediscover the love that I am inside that comes from spirit. I would do this by activating my inner wisdom.

By going in and through my body through my breath, doing my inner work to establish grounding and presence, and creating a strong connection within me and around me.

With this in place, it became easier to see and step into the truth and stay stable through life’s inevitable storms.

It was also important to find and nurture the inner child inside who was always calling out for me to pay attention to what she needs.

I first discovered her when I was in pain and suffering deeply through my own struggles with disordered eating. It was here that I was first brought hypnosis, which took me on a journey into where that little girl was stuck and waiting for me to find her.

When I was able to reconnect with her and give her what she needed in those moments, I was given a new opportunity to help her grow and learn.

I could take her with me as we both moved forward towards a healthy and supportive future. When I love that little girl by encouraging her, being kind to her, and helping her to understand things in a new way, my present life improves.

It was from this place that I was ultimately released from my suffering. As I brought light to the dark places inside, my light was restored, and I found wholeness in mind, body, and spirit. I was free from the shackles of my past to live more peacefully in the abundant present.

Years later, I would return to this illuminated place to continue to grow and heal other parts of myself that were not in alignment with my authentic self.

It was then that I discovered this powerful modality had such an impact on my life that I knew it was calling me to help others in the same way.

I began my training at the Alchemy Institute of Hypnotherapy and the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists. I continue to find joy in helping others to discover their own abilities to heal themselves.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?

There will always be roadblocks, detours, speed bumps, and construction zones on my journey. No roads are smooth if you want to expand and grow.

These have all existed within me which I can now fully appreciate. They help remind me that I do not always know the good news from the bad news.

Some of the things that I once thought were my biggest struggles led me to the best things in my life, like hypnotherapy. It’s like they say when one door closes, another one opens.

But if I stare too long on the door that closes then I may just miss the one that is sitting open waiting for me to step inside. The key is living one day at a time.

Being home in my breath and my body, I am constantly reminded that the universe has a way of working things out that are far better than my plans. It is important that no matter the struggle that comes on my path, I must trust in the infinite nature of the divine to provide a solution.

Once I commit to this truth then things will move in that direction. The one thing that is required of me is to remember that knowingness deep inside and be open to the creative ways that are continuously presented by spirit.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

The type of work that I do is Transpersonal & Alchemical Hypnotherapy.

Both techniques are client focused so a session will be catered towards the best possible outcome for each individuals healing and transformation.

The Transpersonal approach is spiritually centered and emphasizes that the body, mind, and spirit all affect each other and that hypnosis is the primary catalyst to bridge the three.

Because the subconscious mind holds all the answers to the mind-body-spirit triad, in hypnosis you will be able to go to the root of what is not yet in alignment in your world and know the path that is needed for your healing.

This process is all interactive so you will be speaking from your internal wisdom as we journey together to discover what insight, answers, and tools are needed for you to find peace.

The Alchemical approach recognizes that for deep transformation to occur a change agent such as hypnosis is needed to turn the debris of your past (lead) into self-actualization (gold) which will create everlasting wisdom and purpose in your life.

People tend to associate hypnosis with changing habits, and it is a powerful tool for that. However, it can also be so much more.

Hypnotherapy can be used to heal things that are no longer working in your life and is a bridge to bring what you desire from your conscious mind into your subconscious.

When we marry the desires of the subconscious and conscious, there is a powerful magic that happens. Not only will old thoughts, beliefs, and patterns, transform, we can then utilize those to heal your mind, body, and spirit on all levels.

Symptoms begin to release, and a new foundation is built that is strong, connected, and attuned.

I feel strongly about this work because I have seen firsthand the incredible gifts it can bring to a person’s life. I am most proud of listening to the calling from spirit that brought me on this path to helping others and offering a safe space for transformation, growth, and healing.

What sets me apart from others is that I too have walked this journey and continue to show up and accept the invitation to grow. I used to think I needed someone else to heal, save, or rescue me, but what I was able to discover, is that l am my own healer.

All I needed was some help finding the keys that I had tucked away inside of me and did not yet have the confidence to know I had all along. I am here to hold that space for others to go deep inside and find the keys to their freedom.

When you can feel safe, comfortable, and connected, it is easier to be honest and vulnerable with your heart. I specialize in helping people make peace within themselves – body, mind, and spirit.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?

As we continue to live in an uncertain world, it becomes even more imperative that we as humans work on our mental health. I see this shift already happening where people are moving toward spiritual well-being as the foundation to which they build their lives.

There is a need for us to change the way we used to view health as separate entities, the body vs the mind, and instead realize that everything is connected.

As people begin to experience the benefits of getting to the roots of dis-ease instead of treating the symptoms, big things will continue to unfold in the realm of spirit work.
